This Is Magnolia Lane

A small campground under the trees in Pollocksville, North Carolina.

Magnolia Lane is a family campground on the edge of Pollocksville, about twenty-five minutes from New Bern. The park sits under mature trees, with Lake Georgia at one side and Goshen Branch Creek running past the tent sites. It’s quiet here. That’s the point.

Room to park, room to breathe

Twenty-four RV sites, most of them pull-thrus. Every site has water, septic, and 50/30 amp power, plus its own fire pit and picnic table.

A site covers up to six people and two vehicles. If you have a favorite site number, ask when you book — we’ll try to make it happen.

Tents by the creek

The tent area sits right on Goshen Branch Creek. It’s primitive camping — no hookups, just water moving past your site — but the bathhouse is a short walk away.

$40 a night, same six people and two vehicles included.

Water at both ends of the park

Guests have private access to Lake Georgia for fishing and paddling. The creek runs along the other side. Neither one is ever crowded.

Mornings on the lake are the good kind of slow. When you want to move, a three-quarter-mile walking trail loops the lake, and a nature trail follows the creek under the trees.

Fireworks bursting over Lake Georgia on a holiday weekend

Evenings here

Campfires go in the rings, and on the big holiday weekends the show moves to the water — fireworks over the lake. Quiet hours start at 11. The nights actually get dark out here, so bring a flashlight — and look up on your way back from the bathhouse.
